Reviews and Ratings
I had a delightful stay at this hotel. The room was lovely, clean, and comfortable with ornate ceilings and original black iron stoves, making it feel cozy and charming. The service was exceptional, with staff who were very friendly and welcoming, even making my little dog feel special. The location was magnificent, surrounded by two championship golf courses and beautiful oak trees. The dining experience was very good, catering to all tastes, but could be improved for a more seamless service. The facilities were top-notch, offering everything I needed for a relaxing stay.
The hotel rooms are so nice and comfy that you really don't want to check out. The balcony we dined on during our second evening was exceptional value for a family meal of the quality presented, even though it didn't have a view.
The hotel had good equipment in the rooms, but my room wasn't ready until the evening, and it was disappointing not getting a double bed as booked. The service was hit or miss, with some staff being rude, but others being brilliant. The location was ideal for a peaceful night's sleep and great walks, although it felt like an afterthought. The dining options varied from poor to great. Overall, the hotel was average but lacked consistency in various aspects.
My stay at the hotel was a delightful experience. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, ideal for a relaxing break. The service provided by the staff, especially Karl at reception and Anishka, was top-notch. The location is great for leisure activities like walks and golf, although the jacuzzi was a bit small. The dining experience was enjoyable overall, with delicious food, despite a small issue with the bill. The facilities were well-maintained and added to the overall comfort of my stay at the Carton.
Staying on the third floor was a bit of a workout each day, but the room itself exceeded my expectations. The huge room had a great smart TV, a lovely bathroom with luxurious shampoos, and a king-size bed that was so comfortable I fell asleep instantly. A must-visit spot at least once in a lifetime, despite a slight delay in service.
